My daughter (9 yrs old) asked for a new devotional for Christmas, I chose this, and she is loving this. She completes each day on her own, looking up the corresponding texts independently. We have had good, thoughtful conversations - initiated by HER - based on the daily thoughts. What more could a Mom ask for?

I don't have much to compare it with but this seems to be a pretty good devotional book for kids. My 9 year old loves it and we're currently working through the devotions together as a family. They're not so superficial as to send long time believers to sleep, and are a good launching pad for discussion (and I would definitely recommend discussing them).
All in all a good buy.

I bought this devotional book for my 10-year-old granddaughter for Christmas. It is written in a way that brings Jesus into her world, face-to-face, on her level. I look forward to feedback from her.

I purchased over thirty books to give as Christmas gifts. Each child was excited to have a personal devotion book. They and I like everything about the book. I was well pleased with the contents. It was a joy and blessing to give something that children could and would enjoy in getting to know Jesus better.

My granddaughter liked my Jesus Calling and wanted one. Since she is only 9 yrs old, I decided to buy the one for kids for Christmas. It seems very good for that age group.

This adaptation of Jesus Calling is wonderful for kids. My kids range from ages 10 to 5, and all three of them get something out of the special messages to them from the Lord. Each time we read a lesson, even I find a nugget that brings me one step closer to understanding how God sees me. I highly recommend this devotion book.

I LOVE this devotional. It is made with quality workmanship and materials--which make it wonderful for gift-giving. And, it has wonderful Biblical Truth on every easy-to-understand page! I enjoy reading it and I'm over 40. The sentences are short and perfect for young readers; yet full of so much Truth, an adult can learn from its contents! I particularly love how the author writes it in such a way as it seems like Jesus Himself is talking to you. My children love it (ages 8-14) as much as I do!

I gave these as gifts to my 4th grade Sunday school class this year. We would read the devotional as a prayer in class and then talk about what lesson we take from the message. Great discussion book for kids and parents as well.

This is so exciting to have child oriented messages from Jesus. It makes it personal at their level. Kids listen when you have a conversation with them at their level, not talking down plus give them a chance to speak. Love it. Sara Young has done it again. thank you

This was purchased for a grandchild with developmental delays. He is 13 now, and I thought this devotional would be great for him to study on his own. It turns out that he needs some help but it is written in such a way, that with help from mom or dad he gets it. The upside of this, mom and dad get involved in his devotional too. : )
