I read this after seeing the interview on the 700 club, seeing all the great reviews, and having friends recommend it. Heaven Is For Real is about a boy named Colton who nearly died at 3 years old, and had a "vision" in the process (did not lose vital signs in hospital). This book is interesting to read, in fact, it was hard to put down. However, that is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. This book is filled with lots of little things that "didn't feel right" to me. Like other people have said already there are many things in this book that just do not seem to line up with the Bible. When seeking information we should always go to the Bible which is infallible and true, and talk to Him in prayer. It is wonderful that God performed a miracle in allowing Colton to live, and it is wonderful to see how God loves us enough to do things like that. I would not recommend this book for anyone who is looking for comfort because of loss or to an unbeliever. I also would not allow a child to read the version of this that is made for kids. Before buying this it is a good idea to sit down with the Lord and see what He would have you do.

Once started I found this book very hard to put down. The true story of the young lad and his time with Jesus in Heaven was astounding. It is very well written with the father verifying what was said with Scripture. It is well worth the read and really strengthened my faith. Was edifying and also comforting to know that we will meet up with loved ones who have gone before. It is a book I would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

I've read a few "Heaven" books and this one seems false.
Colton was vomiting all day long for SEVERAL DAYS and he wasn't taken to a hospital ? What was wrong with his parents!!!
Children make up stories. They also listen to us talk when we don't think they're paying attention. Raised as a PK he would pick up allot of info about heaven.

Do angels have wings? The cherubim do, but never read in the bible that the angels do. It was a bit dissappointing upon reading this and made me less intereted in finishing the book.

I had heard the book was good (from my Sunday School Teacher) but once I started reading the book I didn't want to lay it down. It far exceeded my expectations (which were high to begin with). I have passed it on to my granddaughter and she is passing it on. HEAVEN indeed is " For REAL!!!"

This book sent chills down my spine. This family had much turmoil but so many blessings at the same time, it shows us that God really does love each and everyone of us, we are all his children. Fast read and great questions at the end. I will use this book for my next Bible Study.

I really loved the book and didn't want to stop reading. I bought the ebook and read it on my iPhone. This was my first time to read a book on there and it wasn't bad. It was a little confusing since I had also downloaded the sample book. It installed 2 different apps on my phone. I think this ebook was a little pricey, cause now what do I do with it?

Loved this book, it is so refreshing from the mouth of a child. No wonder Jesus said "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." My only disappointment is having purchased the e-book version makes it difficult to share with family and friends. Everyone should read this little book, helped me to see heaven in a clearer way....can't wait to go there myself.

I read this book within 2 days because I couldn't put it down! To hear about heaven from such an innocent child was a treat and it gave me great peace about my deceased niece that died when she was 22 years old. I already believed in Christ as Savior but to have extra details about heaven was a real bonus. Simply put, this book made me happy!
