This author is a respected conservative Catholic scholar. He has written several strong New Testament commentaries. This one is superb. In my opinion, these two volumes on Luke are by far the best in the Anchor Bible series (though I have not yet seen this author's volume on Acts). It is also one of the best works on the Gospel of Luke in any series. I highly recommend it.
