Review 1 for The Anchor Bible Dictionary, 6 Volumes
An Exhaustive Bible Dictionary
Date:September 27, 2013
This six volume Anchor Bible Dictionary is one of the best reference Bible dictionaries available. Each word entry has been thoroughly researched and provided with a rather detailed, yet easy to comprehend definition (explanation) for anyone studying the Word of God.
The Bible was written over a period of roughly 1500 years through the pen of 40 divinely inspired men, with John completing the Word of God over 1900+ years ago. Although 3400+years old, the Word of God is not old, rather it is living and operative to this very day. In the same light, this six volume Anchor Bible Dictionary although not updated since its original 1990 release date, like the Bible itself, is as relevant today as it was in 1990.
