This is one of the worst books I have ever read concerning Christianity. To state that Canaanite children were done no harm by killing them because they went to heaven is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard.

Review 2 for Is God a Moral Monster?: Making Sense of the Old Testament God - eBook
I found this book to be a worthy treatment of refuting the New Atheists claims against Scripture and God. Copan answers questions that have nagged me for some time. I really enjoyed it. A worthwhile addition to my library.

Review 4 for Is God a Moral Monster?: Making Sense of the Old Testament God - eBook
I have often wondered how to answer the questions about the Old Testament references that were somewhat confusing about God's nature. This book does an excellent job. Although I have just began to read this, it has already opened my understanding and helped me frame answers to difficult questions.

Dr. Paul Copan is a great apologist for the matters that trouble many Christians. This book should be read and discussed in every Sunday School in America and abroad.

Paul Copan has a winner. I have read it and find it to be very enlightening. I also quote from my favorite theologian, with whom I reviewed the book:
"Copan is "something else!" He disdains atheism, hardly gives them any acknowledgement, then goes on to refute basic arguments BY EXEGESIS! Really, he uses atheism to write book on OT exegesis! And well he should--he has something to say!"
Well done!

Fantastic book! Copan deftly and winsomely explains baffling OT passages and interacts with the new atheists. This is the a book I've been wanting to see for a long time!
