Jove The Christmas Angel, Cape Light Series #6 MM

As the spirit of the season spreads through the seaside hamlet of Cape Light, town mayor Emily receives an unexpected and precious Christmas gift: a baby girl tucked away in a decorative cradle set up outside the church, with a note begging whoever discovers the child to take care of her. Emily is granted temporary custody, and realizes that if the mother is not found, she badly wants to keep baby Jane as her own...

This book in the series is kind of "off the wall" different. Not to many people can make a regular habit of running in the snow, but our mayor does. Then to find an abandoned baby that close to the holiday in the cold on one of those runs, just is far-fetched.But we read it, because it is another good read.

This book is a wonderful story of second chances. Emily was able to do all she missed of Sara's life with Jane. Sometimes we need a second chance to prove to ourselves that we can love and be loved, and prove to others that we are stronger than they think we are. All of The Cape Light books are about God giving us a second chance. I am looking forward to reading more about Cape Light.
