Engaging children in the editing process, critical thinking skills, correct grammar and punctuation usage are self-enforced with each Editor in Chief exercise. Teaching students to carefully analyze and edit stories, students identify and circle errors and write in their correction. The errors are based on grade level, while the content is ungraded to allow these books to be used at most levels. My eight year old daughter enjoyed this book very much and asked for it instead of her usual grammar lessons. She has learned to spot errors in the written passages, and this has caused her to be more aware of the rules of grammar and punctuation in her own writing. The best thing is that she loves this book and considers it 'fun'.
