I had PC Study Bible many years ago when it was on floppy disk. I have not had ample time to re-learn what all I can do, but I know it will be helpful in my Bible studies. I noticed it does not have the Amplified Bible translation. I thought my old PC Study Bible did. Or did it?

I received this product as a retirement gift. I wish I had it when I was doing my studies. It replaced a wall of books that were about to fall fall down from the weight. I find this product easy to use and the information is accurate and dependable. It's nice to point and click and have what you need in front of you without having to thumb through hard cover books.. I have it loaded on my little Netbook computer that I take to Bible study.

It is a tremendous product. I occasionally substitute as a SS teacher and this mayerial is great. With outlines & commentaries by different men of God. Even some of their sermons surely guide you and keep you focused and on track. The pictures, maps and explanations really get you into a search of the scriptures. Myths dissolve and cliches come under the scrutiny and all that's left is truth. The Word of God.

I bought the Biblesoft Complete Reference Library, Version 5.O-C, chiefly to gain quick access to 38 volumes of patristic literature. This sub-library, as so much else of the mostly non-copyrighted material in the BCRL, is of course freely available on the Internet. But its convenient access on one's PC hard drive expedites personalized transcribing and correlation with some 300 other textual sources in this eclectic collection. Technically, this is accomplished here with the well designed and simple-to-use Biblesoft cross-referencing system. The 23 bible versions and concordances include the NIV and the NLT, though misses the NRSV and the NJB. While the Vulgate-English interlinear is also wanting, interlinears of Greek and Hebrew with Strong's numbers are present. The obvious shortcoming of the BCRL, in addition to the datedness of its sources, is its lack of materials from Continental Europe of all periods/movements (except Luther and Calvin), and on church history, as well as over-emphasis on the English/Anglo-American Puritans/Pietists/ Revivalists/Inspirational preachers. The st strength of the BCRL lies in its harmonious integration and correlation of a great many (if dated) sources within an effectual electronic architecture, with diverse search engines, especially in word study. For a price of $ 300, its inventory of encyclopedias and dictionaries could have been amplified with more up-to-date reference books.

This is a very valuable piece of software. It is packed with info , great for scholars. The only bad thing is that is not user friendly. I have owned this softward for 3 1/2 weeks and I am still confused every time I use it . It is easier to go with books for me, it takes longer, but at this point it is easier.
