This book is truly amazing. I read a lot, and it takes a lot for a book to truly touch my heart, but this one does.
You get a front row seat with five different passengers headed to Arizona for varying reasons, all with their own problems. What starts out as a casual conversation with their seatmate turns into something more, something deeper for each. They all discover something about themselves just from the people next to them. Then suddenly the plane is going down, crashing into an icy river. It's all over. Or is it?
What do you do when presented with the opportunity to be a hero? What do you do when given the chance to save someone's life? What if saving that person's life means giving up your own? Will you make the sacrifice? Is there a hero in you?
I like how the author doesn't try to make it all light-hearted and happy. The characters go through some very tough conflicts, and it gets worse before it gets better. But it's very realistic, and once you get to the "happy ending" it all really seems to fit.
