B&H Books The Cradle, the Cross, and the Crown - eBook

This new introduction The Cradle, the Cross and the Crown: A New Testament Introduction gives believers a comprehensive resource that allows them to understand not only the historical and literary factors in the New Testament, but also the theological meaning the New Testament teaches. Three of Evangelicalism's best and upcoming scholars present a complete book-by-book and genre-by-genre introduction to the New Testament complete with study questions, charts, lists, and an extensive bibliography for further study. Additionally, the introduction outlines interpretive and methodological issues that students of the New Testament will need to be aware of before they can responsibly engage the NT text. This book is an excellent tool for (advanced) senior level high school students, collegiate level introductory Bible Survey courses, and for lay education in the church. The days of just reading the Bible are over; we must learn to read it intelligently and in discussion with the broader Christian community, scholarly or otherwise.

Just finished a semester using this book as an introduction to the New Testament as part of a MA and have nothing but praise for it. Well written and very supportive of the orthodox view of Christianity and the canon of Scripture ('orthodox' in terms of classic Christianity).
I have many other supporting texts but this is one of the best I have come across in this field! Wholeheartedly recommended!!
