Great book. I wish I'd had this book when we started our study on the book of John.

CBD's marketing description accurately identifies the content and usefulness of this work. In addition, I found the many footnotes contained accurate and useful explanations, a mini-commentary on gospel events. The 35 essays offer real discussion of various harmonic and gospel issues without being dogmatic or pedantic. I especially appreciated finding competing essays by Hoehner and Polhill on chronology. The 8 maps at the end are useful, but would have been more helpful if numbered and coordinated into the Harmony with footnotes. An independent study of Life of Christ/Harmony can be conducted with this work. The Harmony uses the HCSB version, which communicates as effectively as the NKJV or NIV, although occasionally a word choice by the translators is unexpected and may be disconcerting to some, e.g, "shadowland of death" Matt 4:16.

I purchased the ebook for my Bible study group. I wish I had purchased the hard copy, because there are no page numbers. It makes it difficult to keep up with the group as they direct to a page number and there arent any in the ebook...
