Good anthology. Recommend for preachers who strive for excellence. Handy. Covers many topics important for relevant, effective preaching. Shortcoming: lack of female authors and authors from other ethnic groups. Hope there will be a revised version that addresses these shortcomings as well as include inclusive language.

I have searched for a single resource entirely on preaching and there are many great works available today such as The Moody Handbook of Preaching, but none of them come close to The Handbook of Contemporary Preaching! It is by far the most comprehensive resource on the art of preaching. One look at the table of contents and it is apparent to conclude that it is the most exhaustive reference book on homiletics today.
This is a treasure to be cherished by anyone called to preach the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ.
