I am a Chonda Pierce fan and have a good number of her dvd's but this one is pretty disappointing. Most of her standup is recycled from years before and the minimal new additions to the routine just aren't that funny. There was no uplifting message with her routine this time and her music is recycled also....and there isn't much of it. It didn't quite seem like she was her normal self.....it lacked energy and joy....not a lot of humor either....it almost seems as if she was talked into doing this gig but didn't really want to be there. It all came across as really flat and tired. She did take a few questions from the audience but those were pretty awkwardly unentertaining too. I wouldn't recommend this dvd...some of her earlier one's were just much better and so much funnier. I may be in the minority but when I buy a new dvd I expect a new routine...like many of her other dvd's. If I could get a refund I would but once you open a dvd it's your to keep. Sorry Chonda....better luck next time. Complete waste of my money and both our time.

It just did not seem to have much humor. It seems she laughed at herself more than made you laugh. She has definitely made better CD's

I have always enjoyed Chonda Pierce very much. This one terrific. Chonda is so true to herself, natural, very human and knows how to relate well her various experiences in life with a God given wit. Her sense of humor is wholesome and refreshing and can be enjoyed over and over again. I watch for each new DVD by her because I know that God has something good for me, and countless others, that will help me to see things in life in a less serious way and enables me to trust God more. May God and Chonda continue to grace us with their love and laughter. It is a taste of heaven on earth. God bless Chonda and all of her efforts to share her life with the Lord as she sees and experiences it. Mary M. Bussey
