I've read numerous books about the Christian faith, and this one tops the cake. In all the years of looking for something that would make me want to read something over and over again, I've finally found the book. I give this book 5 stars.

What an inspiring book. And to know it is a true story. The compassion these men of faith showed in the worst of circumstances says to me they had the heart of God.

In all my years of reading Christian fiction, I have never been so moved by a book. Days later it is still on my mind and actually affecting my prayer life! In the forefront of my mind - the intense and immediate story of the prisoners of the holocaust and what they went through. It brought me to tears. In the back of my mind, like an accompanying melody - a comparison of the courage and faith of these men with the courage and faith of those in the early church, who were persecuted for their beliefs, yet struggled on. And finally, a look at my own faith. An inspiring and humbling story.
