ReadingQueen135 Stars Out Of 5Great Summer Read!July 18, 2018ReadingQueen13Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for My Foolish Heart, Deep Haven Series #4.Susan May Warren is an excellent writer. I have read several of her books and absolutely enjoyed each of them. This book shares a wonderful story of small town values, growing one's faith, and learning to trust again. As far as romance novels go, this one is not sappy or overly predictable. I was impressed by the level of modesty displayed and found the story to be quite realistic. I would recommend this book to anyone 16+, although it is not a classic teen romance novel. Additionally, you do not have to read the preceding books in the series to understand the plot well. This is a great summer read!

GCCanadaAge: 18-24Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Nothing 'foolish' about the story and its message!March 27, 2012GCCanadaAge: 18-24Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for My Foolish Heart, Deep Haven Series #4.Mercy me, where do I start?
Here I was picking this book and thinking it'd be another one of those okay love stories or whatever.. Ha! who was I kidding? This was no 'whatever' but rather 'writer, where on earth have you been??'
Stories that are deeply rooted in the The Truth are the BEST kind out there and in this one, readers get to dive in and stand in awe of God's great LOVE and come out of this refreshly satisfied. Can I give it six stars? Superbly well writen! (And funny too :) I guess the only thing 'foolish' about it all was me seriously considering squeezing myself into the story at one point. Give this a try, you won't be sorry! Now, where to for more adventures with these sweet lovebirds? -
HomeSchool Mom of 4The Hot Dry DesertAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Charming, Inspiring Contemporary FictionAugust 29, 2015HomeSchool Mom of 4The Hot Dry DesertAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0This review was written for My Foolish Heart, Deep Haven Series #4.Susan May Warren is my favorite contemporary fiction writer which I discovered with this book. Usually, I am bored with anything that isn't historical fiction, but her characters are very well-rounded and real. The hero in this book is a man who suffers from PTSD which really interested me as a military wife and veteran. The story was a bit predictable but not too much so, and I liked seeing how the author showed both Isadora and Caleb overcoming their issues and finding healing. I don't generally like a story that features "wounded" people but Susan May Warren writes amazingly and the story was both charming and inspiring, and I also love the Deep Haven setting of her most recent novels. Highly recommend!

FaithFictionFactandFluffCanadaAge: 25-34Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5I think I've got a foolish heart...July 18, 2014FaithFictionFactandFluffCanadaAge: 25-34Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for My Foolish Heart, Deep Haven Series #4.I'd always wanted to read this. Ever since I saw the cover and read the synopsis, I knew it seemed like the perfect story for one of my romantic moods. You know, the kind that makes you crave chocolate and a late night.
Anyways... I was right. For a whole lazy Sunday afternoon, I did nothing but drink cold lemonade and lay under my desk with a pile of pillows, while I let Susan May Warren take me to Deep Haven. I don't think I moved until the book was done.
It wasn't anything extraordinary. This was a story of four broken people trying to get their life back on track. However, it was sprinkled with just enough humor, depth, and romance to make it a journey worth taking.
I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who's looking to discover the next piece of classic Christian fiction. But if you ever find yourself needing a piece of fun, contemporary romance, then don't miss this novel. I may look back and wonder why I was crazy enough to give this five stars, but something about this book just got to me. I don't know, maybe I've got a foolish heart too...
