I've read the first five of the six books in the "Deep Haven" series. I've enjoyed each one. Susan May Warren has a unique way of developing her characters - and I love her writing and her stories.

Loved this book! Then again I love pretty much all of Susan May Warren's books. Happily Ever After shows how God works in each persons life through different trials and that we should always rely on God and not let fear overcome us. And, of course, you can't help but fall in love with Joe and Mona!! 5 stars!!!!

The cover of this book appealed to me immediately - books and coffee - and it was incredibly colorful and cute. The story beneath the cover was just as clever and colorful and appealing - in fact, it was as if Susan May Warren looked into my heart and put my wildest dreams on paper! She is such a creative, funny author who has a knack for presenting spiritually valuable life lessons in an understanding way. Mona is madly in love with Jonah! Unfortunately, Jonah is the fictional hero of her favorite author's successful book series. When Mona begins to realize her dream of owning a book store in the sleepy little town of Deep Haven, she hires a handyman who begins to take Jonah's place in her heart. Upon his arrival, costly "accidents" begin to happen and Mona's dreams are nearly crushed. Is her handyman trying to sabotage her? Or has she met the real love of her life? Happily Ever After is a sweet story with beautiful characters. It is some of the best hours you will spend in a book.

OK, I admit, I'm biased. Any book in which I can immediately identify with the heroine automatically earns at least two stars. But this time, I could so relate to Mona that I think my bias can be forgiven, yes? :) We're both bookworms, we both have big dreams, and though we've accepted Christ, we are tenacious when it comes to trying to earn His love on Earth. I also fully enjoyed the dynamics of her relationships with Liza and Joe, and was happy to see Joe finally accept Gabe as he was, no strings attached. Susan even did a great job with her villain--I didn't like that too-smooth Brian, either, even the first time I opened this book. I kind of bought this one out of desperation for something to read, but I'm glad I did. Keep it up, Susie!

Susan May Warren is a great writer who draws you in from the first page. Her characters are easy to relate to and love. The only bad thing about the book was when I finished reading it and had to put it down. Her books are definitely worth reading.
