Zondervan Leviticus & Numbers: NIV Application Commentary [NIVAC] -eBook

In this commentary, Roy Gane explains how Leviticus and Numbers tell of an epic journey to freedom, while illuminating and challenging modern conceptions of God. Vivid imagery of rituals, laws addressing tough issues, and narratives ranging from exultant to gut-wrenching show what it means to interact with the Lord and how to live according to his holy principles as part of a redeemed community of faith.

The NIV Application Commentary Series helps bring both halves of the interpretive task together. This unique, award-winning series shows readers how to bring an ancient message into our postmodern context. It explains not only what the Bible meant but also how it speaks powerfully today.

I am a fan of NIV Application Commentary! However I do not love this volume. The insides in terms of the symbolism and the temple are very helpful however this book in general is a very well written justification for the SDA Doctrine of the Sanctuary and the Investigative Judgment. For this peculiar interpretation I have to give it a 3 because even when it is a very convincing and educated way to propose their belief to the rest of the Christian community it is a very confusing interpretation that claims grace and works of the law to be truly saved.
