For a long time I have desired to read through the entire bible. I tried to adopt different methods but failed somewhere along the way. The NIV Once-A-Day Bible has addressed the greatest problem I used to experience - getting bored with what I read especially from the Old Testament. By combining daily readings from the Old Testament and the New Testament and also from the 'favored and easy to understand' books of Psalms and Proverbs has made my bible reading more exciting. Furthermore the reading plan presented is very flexible. It does not matter if I skip reading for a day or two.
