The book is very biblically sound, but for those of you suffering with anxiety or depression, like myself, this is not for you. Dr. Stanley uses Paul's permanent thorn in his flesh as reference several times and this disturbed my anxiety. This is more for those going through situational hardships. It would be great for anybody dealing with the trials listed in the description.

How to Handle Adversity by Charles Stanley will offer you guidance and comfort duirng life's hardest moments. During these times, God is showing you His working hand in your life. Part of His work is breaking your pride. He desires humility in His children. No matter what He sends your way respond well to Him and you'll be blessed in the end. I highly recommend any of Charles Stanely's books because he's a great encouraging pastor. You'll walk away satisfied with the advice he so wisely gives.

The book exceeded my expectations. I found it very helpful in readjusting my attitudes toward adversity and suffering. The book is an easy read. I started highlighting passages that really spoke to me...it would have been easier to highlight passages that didn't seem to resonate with me.

Excellent book. Good for all who really want to know how to deal with the daily things that will come your way and knowing that we need to apply the word and have faith in God.
