This book captured my full attention. It was exciting and it was impossible to stop reading at the end of a chapter. The reader was always "left hanging", and I could not wait to read what happened next. It would be a great choice for upper elementary/junior high students (especially boys) who enjoy fast paced fantasy books about good and evil, kings and kingdoms, and of course heroes that make the right choice no matter the cost. As I finished Book 3, I immediately began to read Book 4.
