"Surely a high point in this excellent series. Dunn, a world-class scholar, has been at work on these commentaries for 10 years. Can be used either as a reference for interpreting particular words or phrases or for grasping the flow of Paul's argument. A major event,"---America. 976 pages total, two hardcovers. Nelson.

This is definitely a strong commentary by Prof. Dunn. He offers strong research and a reasoned approach to the text. Dunn is a proponent of the New Perspective, and sometimes his NP leanings cause him to color his comments a bit. However, this is a commentary that, while technical, maintains a strong link with the theology of Romans. It falls a little short of Cranfield and Schreiner, but it is definitely a must have.
