Review 1 for The IVP New Testament Bible Dictionary New Testament Set, 3 Vols. A Compendium of Contemporary Biblical Scholarship
These dictionaries are outstanding. The articles are both indepth, easy to read/ understand and are packed with information, for which I turn to them regularly. I am just a layman with no special education.Don't overlook the 4th volume to the NT set: Dictionary of NT Background" edited by Craig Evans & Stanley Porter. The first volume of the OT series is also out: "Dictionary of the OT Pentateuch" edited by T. Desmond Alexander & David Baker.Great stuff!!
