I thought I would be buying this to pass on to someone else in need, but I found that even after 15 happy years and 4 kids, this book resonates with me in a huge way. We forget and hold our husbands and ourselves to wrong standards and have false expectations and are so bitterly disappointed as wives sometimes, and it is senseless. This book explains so much about the wrong way we've been taught to look at things and how we really just need a fresh approach. If you only keep repeating the same thing, you're only going to get the same result. After doing lay counseling for a lot of young mothers in crisis marriages, I am convinced that this book could help so many and should be standard issue for premarital counseling and on the shelf of every married woman. It's that good.

Outstanding, very readable and I'm recommending to friends! Been married 7 years and this hit all of our marriage hot buttons right on the head. It's like talking to her in person and I love the way she brings her real-life friends' comments into the book, gives prayer point ideas, and realistic examples from her own marriage = a pastor's wife and author and mom to 3! Thank you for this book!
