So when I first saw the book by my FAVORITE author I dropped my notebook and begged my mom to buy it for me. She did(love u Mommy!)and as soon as I got in the car I began to read it and as usual was consumed into it. I absolutely loved it and I was glad I read it. So I didn't watch the movie and I only will if it's exactly like this one. Full of mystery and NO SHE DIDNTs I beg u to pick a copy. You'll LOVE Katie(Katherine). And the suspense in Beverly Lewis' first novel. Bless u bunches love Mama Luv. :)

I have read many of Beverly Lewis' books and thoroughly enjoyed them. The Shunning was excellent and I could not put it down. The movie was highly anticipated and highly disappointing. The story was flat compared to the book and the actress of Katie Lapp looked like she was wearing eye makeup which looked completely out of character. Others I have talked to who saw the movie agree that they missed the mark on many levels. I watched the movie on TV, but I wouldn't buy the DVD unless you haven't read the book.
