To be honest, I was not expecting a whole lot from this book. I expected to read a stero-typical "self help" book for Christian teens. My expectations where not very high at all. Was I ever wrong. I started reading UNcompromising by Hannah Farver and I could not put it down. This book hit home for me.

To be honest, I have been going through a horrible time lately. I have been struggling with a number of things and I have not been trusting God and letting him take the reigns in my life. When I started reading Hannah's book, I found that she talked about every single one of the issues that I am facing. I couldn't believe it! As I read through Hannah's book, it gave me hope. It showed me that I COULD fix the mess that I have made of my life and that there is hope.

Hannah's book is such a blessing to me. This book is now all marked up with tears, my thoughts, and pages/sentences are highlighted with my pencil. :)

Every teenage girl regardless of her age should read this book. This book has been a tremendous blessing to me and I LOVE it! It is the best book that I have read this year.

I was sent a complementary copy of this book for review.

This book could be compared to the "Do Hard Things" which seems to be more for boys. I thought it was excellent!

Uncompromising is a book written by young college student, Hannah Farver, for teens and young women for today.

There are 'causes' that are competing every day for each young woman's heart. Hannah provides a list of 'causes' that need to take a back seat or at least an attitude adjustment to the real Cause. They sneak up very subtly, drawing young women unaware.

She's not saying all these causes are wrong. But they need to be put into the right priority and perspective. The True Cause must take precedence. A few of the causes that can sidetrack a young lady are:

    The world's beauty

You need more than a guy

    Feminism

    Equality

She goes into detail on some of the real purposes that young women need to look into:

    Inner beauty

    Femininity

    Modesty

    Purity

    Marriage in God's Will

    Friends

    Submission

And most importantly, Seeking First the Kingdom of God, THE CAUSE

This is one power-packed book of what womanhood truly means. Coming from a young college student, you know God has given her truths and wisdom beyond her years. She pulls no punches, but she does couch it with a lot of humor and wit. No questioning her loyalty to her Lord.

Every young woman and teen needs to read Hannah's book to get a better handle on God's love for them and to submit to His ways for their own joy and the joy of serving others. In fact, it would be a great book for a mother/daughter discussion time. A time to bond and learn how to be a Godly women after His own heart.

Hannah Farver has written an incredibly insightful book for young girls teaching them biblical womanhood. She throws out the labels, the fads and the popular notions of beauty and encourages young girls to be pure and modest and to develop inner beauty through the work of the Holy Spirit.

In "Uncompromising" Farver asks young girls to put their focus on Christ and model purity and modesty in their behavior, their attitudes and their wardrobe. In her interviews with young Christian men, she discovered that when a girl dresses and acts impurely and immodestly it affects their walk with God.

"Uncompromising" is a must-read for any young girl who seeks to follow after Christ and model godly behavior. In today's society when Hollywood dictates fashion, girls need to hear a different message. They need to know that God created them to be who they are, to look the way that they look and to dress modestly and act with purity of thought and manner.

I am grateful that Farver has committed herself to purity and modesty and is teaching other young girls to do the same. She has offered young girls a chance to be the difference God desires for them to be. God created us just the way we are whether we fit into size 5 jeans or size 14; have blue eyes or brown eyes or whether we are a blonde, brunette or redhead, and He loves us because He loves His creation.

I hope young women will read this book, accept themselves for who God created them to be and be modest and pure in their actions and dress. If you are the parent or grandparent of a daughter or a mentor for young women, give "Uncompromising" to them and encourage them to read it with an open heart.
