This is a very well made, and bound New American Standard Bible. The print is easy on the eyes at 11 point font. The bonded leather cover is nice, and should hold up well in regular use. The binding is smyth sewn, not just glued.

Wonderful translation! Seems to be pretty accurate, judging by comparison to Tyndale's. I bought it to use as my daily Bible.
I'd definitely recommend this translation.
Love the side column reference. Beautiful, clear print.
Binding VERY poor, not sure it will stand up to normal use, as already can see gaps in the middle when open - can see where the stitching goes. How well those pages are held in, I don't know.
There is loose paper crackling about in the spine when you hold it open on your hand. Checking for the noise, I could see brown paper flapping about in the end of the volume, looking like it has come unglued.
'Bonded leather'! Are you sure it's not cardboard? It's very thin, so will have to re-cover it with real leather & reinforcing, as it is so thin, to try to preserve the book. There's no way it will stand up to daily use without some form of protection.
Paper feels lovely, but have found no pen type that will not bleed through to the other side of the page. Even their own printing has bled through to the back to some extent, so am not hopeful.

This Bible is outstanding in my opinion. The print is very readable for eyes like mine and the side-column references with wide margins make this a good Bible for putting notes. Even though this Bible does not have commentary notes, I enjoy using this Bible with other commentaries as I study. This is my favorite translation of the Bible (the NASB), known for its accuracy and readability.

I don't think I have ever seen a Bible of this quality for this price. The fact that it has a good genuine leather cover, and is smyth-sewn would ordinarily put this in the $55-$75 bracket. The leather feels really good. The print is soooooo nice, 11 pt. Single column is very readable. No defects in the Bible whatsoever. I am very picky about my books, particularly my Bibles. I love the single column, references off to the side, words of Christ are black (the way the should be), the paper is thick and good quality, rather large concordance in the back, color maps, the most accurate text (ESV being a close second). The procduct itself is astounding. I half expected it to disappoint me for this price. I do have one complaint about the company though: when I added this Bible to the wishlist, as I was thinking about ordering it, it was listed as 32.99. A couple of days later the price randomly went up to 34.99. No big deal, I thought, its still a good price, right? So I order it. Before the Bible even arrives at my house, the price randomly goes back down to 32.99. So, Christian Book overcharged me 2.00. Strangest thing, but I have the invoice to prove it. Its just 2.00, no big deal, but it doesn't sit well with me in principle. Hopefully they will read this and resolve it for the sake of integrity. Othewise, very pleased with this product. Will probably get these to give as gifts...maybe an extra one for myself.

I have been wanting a good NASB
Bible and tried this.

The text and pages were good but the cover and binding were terrible. I ordered a replacement and it was worst then the fist Bible.
I will get a Allan NASB.
Christian books were good to work with for returning the horrible version of a good Bible.

The thing I don't care for is that the pages pucker where they go into the sewn binding when opened. I expect that to go away with use as the binding loosens up a little. Also, I didn't care for the fact it was printed in China.

Size/weight is quite good with the larger 11pt text sizing, which is nice for older eyes. Feel and texture of the leather cover is good, although a bit stiff. Very thorough concordance. Only complaints: I wish the paper was thicker...bleedless markers still bleed. I have to use colored pencils to mark text. Also wish each book started on a new page.
All in all a very nice bible for the price.

The Bible I ordered was exactly what I was told it would be. Genuine leather will make it last a long time. There is the text without all the other information about books and chapters, although good I just wanted the text itself. I like the side columns instead of the columns in the center for reference.
I will never hesitate when in need to order again from Christianbook Dist.

i received my bible in 8 days which was really fast i was quite impressed, overall good quality except the paper seems to be a bit thin and there is a lot of bleeding meaning you can see through the pages but these are minor quiibbles as overall i love it, the font is bold and clear and easily readable, would definitely recommend this bible to my friends.

This is a great Bible, with outstanding quality covers. This is some of the nicest leather I have encountered, although it is pretty soft and in recognition of that fact, the Bible comes with a supplemental velour cover. Some people may not want to "wrap" their Bible when they are carrying it, but I don't know how well the leather will hold up without being wrapped.
The print is large and easy to read. For those with weak eyes, this should be a good Bible to read comfortably.
My only real concern is that this is a very THICK Bible, more than two inches. This is not a Bible that would be easily carried or slipped into a briefcase. Consider this if you plan to travel with this Bible.

It has been years since I bought a new Bible, and this NASB with the single column was just what I was looking for. I could find single column Bibles, but they were study Bibles, or they were hard back, which are difficult to travel with due to thickness and lack of flexability.
Since I do a lot of study, I have found that study Bibles tend to distract me and muddle clarity of thought. So again this one fits the bill of what I was looking for.

This is the first modern English Bible I've purchased. I did it because my family and I started attending a new church, and the NASB Update is the version used. It has an easy-to-read font and great references.
