I enjoy reading Our Daily Bread. I felt I wanted or actually needed something more and mentioned this to my wife. She said immediately went to the internet for sports' devotionals and bought Tony Dungy's book for me at Christmas. It was one of the best presents she ever gave me. The book is outstanding! I still read ODB and will always start my day with it. Adding this new read every morning is enjoyable and energizing. I heard Coach Dungy was a Christian after the Colts won the Super Bowl. I grew to respect him and took a personal interest in his life. He reminds me a lot of Tom Landry of the Cowboys who I followed and respected greatly as I was growing up. I may even have my wife read it as she loves her devotionals, and it is so very inspirational. Also she may get a better perspective - and gain more knowledge - about the world of sports from a different angle!

What does it take to live a life of significance? Tony Dungy invites you to stop wondering and start pursuing an uncommon life this year. How? By spending time every day with God. This year, strengthen the core of your life and faith like never before.

Beloved Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy is known for his truly uncommon character–as a coach, a dad, and a mentor; yet it didn't happen overnight. He learned that the path to significance and ultimate success starts with a challenge that we can all take: to discover what God has in store for you by spending time with Him every day.

In The One Year Uncommon Life Daily Challenge, Tony Dungy shares 365 Scripture readings and reflections on how to live an "uncommon life" of integrity honor your family and friends, create a life of real impact, and connect with God in a deep way. Are you ready to be more than the world is calling you to be? If you're ready you can develop the beliefs, values, integrity, and faithfulness that lead to true victory in life. Step up to the challenge to spend time with God–and dare to be uncommon every day.

This inspirational devotional has daily challenges that offer something special for each day. This book has some great things to strengthen you and will help you get through the tough times and challenge you to grow in your faith.

I would recommend this book for any man in your life. I know someone who doesn't like to read and asked him for his response. He was excited and said this was the first book that meant something to him without being overwhelmed. He said it was just enough information for each day and would love to continue reading.

I received copy of this devotion from Tyndale House Publishers in their blogging program for this review.

My husband began doing this, and I knew I wanted to do devotions 'together,' so I asked him to start reading it out loud. I truly enjoy the things he says and it helps me in conversations with so many others. As husband and wife, our jobs have both of us working with mainly men. This helps me with many conversations to lead to Jesus! Great 'gift' tool also to fathers and sons who do not live close to do as devotion and discuss!!!! Get several and give as gifts as you travel, etc. !

I ordered this for my husband who appreciates the testimony of Tony Dungy. I was concerned when I purchased

it because mostly women had reviewed this book. Although the women gave it a great review, I wondered if it

would also be appreciated by men??? My husband really likes it and it speaks to his heart. Thank you
