The Life Application Study Bible Devotional is an excellent tool for daily reflection on God’s word. I received a complimentary copy for review from the publisher, and I intend to use it to supplement my daily Bible reading throughout the next year.
Packed with insights and practical application, I particularly enjoyed the “Getting Personal” sections offered in each reading. As readers consider each day’s Scripture reading and setting, tips on personal application are key to incorporating God’s wisdom into their daily lives.
I highly recommend the Life Application Study Bible Devotional for any who want to grow closer to God by considering the truths of His word.

The Life Application Study Bible Devotional breaks down your daily connection time with God into several categories to help you walk away with more than simply checking off your list that you have now accomplished your quiet time for the day. In this particular devotional, Daily Wisdom From the Life of Jesus, you feel as if you could learn not only from the fully God part of the Master, but also from His daily human walk.
Each week a topic is chosen from Jesus' personal journey on this earth like Jesus is Born, Jesus Raises Lazarus, Jesus is Betrayed, and much more filling all 52 weeks of the year with decisions, joys, & heartbreaks that marked Jesus' path on this earthy road. The LASB devotional breaks down this process through four categories:
Reading the Word - Read a verse or passage of Scripture relevant to that day's journey
Setting the Scene - Jesus constantly interacted with people. Here the story takes center stage.
Getting Personal - If we don't apply the Word to our lives, the Bible says it is like looking in a mirror, walking away, and forgetting what you look like, so here you make it REAL!
Talking to God - This is where you make the connection, taking the lesson and applying it to your relationship with Him.
I have a love/hate relationship with structure in my personal Bible study time, and I am fully aware that this is so indicative of my personality in many ways! So while I absolute love how the LASB devotional covers every area that I would want to cover as in my quiet time, I am torn by the fact that I need more freedom to forge my own path. With that being said, I truly loved that this devotional was all about Jesus. I felt that I could really see a window into His heart through the various topics. This book covers 52 weeks, so I obviously did not have time to read every day before writing this review, however, I would encourage those who are serious about taking their intimate connection with Jesus to the next level and are not sure how exactly to go about it, to pick up this devotional and discover (or {RE}discover) the heart of the Savior.

The Life Application Study Bible Devotional is just that, a devotional. This highly acclaimed study Bible devotional provides 6 lessons each week. Each week you will delve into a different area of Jesus's life and ministry. One lesson each day, Monday thru Friday and a sixth lesson for the weekend. Each day there is a section of scripture to read, an explanation and context setting of the scripture , a suggested prayer, and a couple questions to make you contemplate what you just read. This format allows you to learn more about the Gospels in jut a few minutes a day.
I, personally, am enjoying the format of this devotional as it is short, sweet, and to the point each day. It allows me to pull verses apart and study what they are referring to and how I can apply them to my daily life. Often, devotionals such as these, can be hard to read or digest. However, Life Application Study Bible Devotional is written in such a way that not only can I learn from it, but it teaches me how to better explain it to others. I strongly suggest this devotional for anyone who is anxious to start some type of deepening process.

What could be better than the original Life Application Study Bible? Why, the new devotional book based on its concepts, of course! The developers have taken the same attention to detail and the same application concepts previously used and focused on the life of Jesus as seen through the Gospels. Each week focuses on a single event from Christ’s life with Scripture verses, thought-provoking devotionals, soul-searching questions, and ideas for deeper prayer. Call me shallow, but I also like that there are only 6 days of devotions for each week. I love the depth and the concentrated focus of this devotional. Don’t be worried that this devotional will take a huge chunk of your day; it’s designed to be read in as little as 5 minutes, so even the busiest people among us have no excuse for skipping it. This unique devotional draws from three different translations of the Bible: NLT, NIV, NKJV.

Life Application Study Bible Devotional: Daily Wisdom From The Life Of Jesus, is a devotional study center around the existence and life of Jesus.
The world is filled with many devotionals, but none that compare to the Life Application Study Bible Devotional. While many devotionals strive to carry their readers through various topics within the Bible, this devotional seeks to predominantly share the life of Jesus.
The format of this devotional carries its readers through a year-long systematic study of the life and the events centered around the life of Jesus while concentrating on one specific topic per week.
Each day brings about four purposefully designed sections that strive to bring to its readers the necessary tools to enhance their study of God's word. The day begins with the essential scripture that relates to the weekly topic. From scripture, the reader is carried into a section that is devoted to setting the scene or explaining any needed background information that helps broaden the significance of the passage.
The final two sections for each day involve a time to get personal. The readers are presented with notes and brief questions that allow them to personalize the lessons and end their devotions with suggestions for prayer.
All in all, this devotional is a recommended purchase for all seeking to grow in their relationship with God.
