Left At The Alter
Emma Jordan is in love with Sam Mackenzie. Sam thought he never wanted to marry until he met Emma.
Sam has a calling to go to the small village of Valselo where people believe Mary the Mother of God has appeared and spoken through three visionaries there. When he asks Emma to marry him and travel to Valselo she refuses to follow him and go to a remote area. A few years later she is getting married until her finance leaves her at the alter. After prompting from her family and Sam's uncle a parish priest she has gone to Valselo. When Sam and Emma meet again after three years will they be able to reignite their love for each other? Will Emma return home alone? Will they discover God's plan for them?
This is one of three novelettes that takes place in the Adriatic Village of Valselo and rooted in the Catholic faith. This was an enjoyable and easy to read story.
I was given the opportunity to read this story by bookfun.org for my honest opinion and review.

Left at the Alter - Emma can’t imagine life without Sam, yet when He feels led to go somewhere else she is not willing to follow. Sam never thought he would want to marry, yet after meeting Emma he can’t imagine life without her. Will God ever give you the desires of your heart? Can Emma still love Sam? What will happen when they are in the same place, and it happens to be the place Sam left Emma for. Will love be enough to have a happily ever after?
Just the Way you Are - Noelle must face a new life of acceptance after a fire has scarred her. Can she accept God’s direction for her life? Noelle never imagined the handsome Dr. Shane could actually find her attractive after all the damage the fire has done on her. Will they ever truly understand the intentions of each other? They are both waiting on very different miracles to take place.
Resurrected Love - Jack and Beth have lost a child, will they ever be able to overcome the grief and reconcile their marriage? Can Jack ever trust God again? Both know they love their estranged spouse more than anything, however they also think that forgiveness is not reachable. How will God mend their broken hearts and restore their love and faith.
All three Novellas are deeply rooted in the Catholic religion. It is heavily woven throughout the books. Sometimes that seems to be the main theme. If this is something that would bother you I would not suggest you read the books, however if this is something that you are interested in or it does not bother you to read then enjoy. I was given a copy of this book from bookfun.org (The book Club Network) for my honest opinion.

The book was very good because it showed that a woman's faith was tested twice , first at losing her fiancée due to his commitment to serve God in another country and her selfish act result in losing him. Then she again lost the man she was going to marry that day and her family forces her to do a job in that same country to "wake" her up that the man she was going to marry wasn't for her but that first man is. She also built back her relationship with God when she went back to that country. It really shows how you can get your faith back especially after feeling all failed...
