I would recommend this book. Enjoyed reading. Catherine Palmer is a good Christian author.

The quaint little town of Ambleside comes alive in this book. You really feel you get to know so many of the folk. I like the way the old and the new comes together to the satisfaction of all.

I learnt somethings here about trusting others even when you appear to have conflicting agendas. I also got to appreciate the power of child-like faith and the need to forgive for your own peace.

The book was very good. I did not guess the plot until it was revealed. I was supprised when the plot was revealed.
I read constantly and found this book to be one of the most delightful I have read in years!!!
The plot of small-town politics and the battle between traditional and futuristic thinkers and planners was an excellent background for the overlaying themes of loneliness, desertion, and isolation which were happily punctuated with the constant, insightful tidbits from little Nick, adopted and adorable! I cannot say that I have every chuckled and even laughed outloud so much in one book!
This is, indeed, a book that will warm your heart and your soul as you travel the very real road of the characters trying to find the path to follow Christ in a world that seems to hinder that walk at every turn!

As an avid fan of Lauraine Snelling's Historical Christian books, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a more contemporary story line; but Ms. Palmer's Finders Keepers drew me in from the beginning. She helped the reader become acquainted with each new character very well. I look forward to reading more of her work. This was also my first attempt at acquiring an eBook for my iPad2, so virtual books are a totally different medium for me. I find that for varying activities, touching the actual pages as opposed to holding a smaller device is not a competition but an additional method to read as much as I can in my busy schedule. In my easy chair I prefer a book with paper pages, in the car while waiting on others or while traveling, the eBook is easier to use. Thank you christianbook.com for providing choices for having it both ways.

I love this book. It was surprising as it was a free book and you never know what you are going to get. I loved the timelessness of the writing and the setting of the story. It was such a clean heartfelt book. I can't wait to read the second book.
