BrowneysSweet Home, AlabamaAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Love Saxon!November 13, 2012BrowneysSweet Home, AlabamaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5This is our first year using Saxon after struggling last year with Rod and Staff. WE LOVE IT!! My 7 year old is challanged, yet he can understand the concepts being taught. I am really happy with Saxon. I will be switching my 6th grader next year, and will start my K-er out on Saxon.
My only complaint, the pages are too thin. Young children erase a lot and the pages could be a little "thicker"
Easy to understand, teach and it is reasonably priced!
Thank you CBD! -

Ange5 Stars Out Of 5Great for the non math parentNovember 12, 2015AngeQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5I am so not a math person. It was never my best subject in school. So that being said, Saxon Math is honestly the best for me to teach my son at home. It gives me sentence for sentence what I have to say and a list of what supplies we need daily. The manipulatives kit is also fantastic. Nearly everything you need comes in one kit.
Last year I tried a completely different math set up for homeschool. This year I actually look forward to teaching Math, just as much as my son enjoys doing his math. Its a win win and fantastic program. :) -
msmouseMonroe, NCAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent programJune 22, 2012msmouseMonroe, NCAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I purchased this program for my daughter starting 2nd grade. She is transitioning from a Christian school to home school and this is the program they used. I liked the fact that it had multiple approaches on learning techniques rather than just one or two straight forward thinking methods. It uses numbers, scenarios, fractions, picture problems all in the same lesson to enforce learning. My daughter has responded well and excelled well. The price for the program is awesome and it arrived rather quickly. Happy learning!

Proud mother of 5Darien, ILAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Very recommended.December 2, 2011Proud mother of 5Darien, ILAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am so happy with this kit. There is a lot of activities, and a lot of support from the teacher's manual to help a parent make math come alive for their child. My daughter is learning so much and I am so happy for so many ways of helping her to confidently learn these all important basics. Everything is laid out for you, so there's no need to run around gathering different ideas and tools for learning a good variety of concepts. It's interesting and challenging for my daughter, yet just repetitive enough to give her confidence. I know that she's learning exactly what she needs to be learning and that we're richly covering all the basic math concepts she needs at this time. I feel very confident she is being given an excellent foundation. The teacher's manual gives very solid, supportive help to the parent and provides a good variety of daily activities for that important repetition and reinforcement for the younger child, but keeps things interesting and fun at the same time.
