Written to give "the average Christian reader a basic knowledge of what the Holy Bible is all about," the Believer's Bible Commentary is a one-volume commentary on the entire Bible based on the New King James Version (NKJV). Author William MacDonald has compiled an insightful and applicable commentary, with introductions, notes, and bibliographies for each book of the Bible. This commentary is both a verse-by-verse exposition (in the New Testament, Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes) and a paragraph-by-paragraph exposition (all other Old Testament books). Passages in the Old Testament which point toward Christ are given special attention.

My Bible study plan is in transition right now(schedule conflict) so I have only been able to use the commentary for my daily devotional. Shortly it will become part of my actual Bible study. I find it very informative without overloading me with information that takes me away from actually reading the Bible. Also seems to be written to the laymen but not elementary. Great resource.

I wanted to understand the Bilble better when I have questions. So I looked around CBD sites for commentaries and chose the Believers Bible Commentary. It is down to earth and simple to understand. I like the book so much I just ordered 2 more for a friend and family member.

We were given this by my dad and have since given so many as gifts. We just bought them for our 3 kids who are still at home with us and have access to ours. They need their own now! This is so easy to understand and so on target doctrinally speaking. When you see kids going to it for explanations, you know it is easy to understand yet has a lot of depth. We enjoy the background and cultural information it gives to passages as well.

This is an ebook and as such is very difficult to use as a reference volume. It is set up to be read cover to cover and cannot be used as expected as a reference volume.
