This is a hard story to watch, mostly because the relationships that are depicted are so difficult. Three generations of a family are divided and reunited over their love of horses. There are some well-placed humorous scenes woven into the story to alleviate the heaviness of the relational struggles. It's a good film, with a lot going for it. The characters are solid, and so is the story line. The themes of hope, valuing animals, believing in others, and pulling together to overcome adversity give the story a solid base.
