This book was very eye opening to the various wills of God. This book is best for a mature Christian, I think a baby in Christ might not grasp or understand what the author is trying to say. The book was good.
A quick short read that really helped me to a better understanding of the interrelationship between three of the Bible biggies: God's will, predestination, and our own free will.
This is the clearest explanation of the will of God I have encountered. Dr. Weaterhead wrote this in 1944, when the German rockets were raining on London and the people spend the nights in the Tubes, the underground railway tunnels. It brings peace to my heart as I can know how God's will works. I first read this book some 30 years ago and I still buy some more to share its wisdom for others.
I first read this book about 1960. I have given it as a gift to several people. It is a classic. I believe every reader would enjoy it. It is particularly helpful for people who have been taught in a manner that has used God for a "whipping boy". Dr. Weatherhead stresses the truth that "God is love".
Anyone who has struggled with the idea of the will of God will find help in this easy to read and understand book. The ideas are logically developed and clearly expressed.
Simply Awesome. With exception to the authors stance on a couple of concepts I disagreed with, the writing delivered wonderfully concerning "Why" things happen.
