I bought this movie for my kids for Christmas. I am extremely careful to check the ratings of all movies in our home because we do not allow any movie with bad language - not even one word. Although the movie itself was great and my kids loved it, I was floored when one of the songs playing in a scene used the "D" word. It was totally unnecessary and even out of place. "...Open up your heart and 'D' your free..." I rechecked the rating because I couldn't believe it hadn't been flagged for language. In the ratings box, movies give codes D-drama, ML-mild language, L-language, V-violence, etc. It only listed "mild thematic elements" given for the dolphin in peril and the wounded soldier dealing with physical and emotional wounds. I even looked up the lyrics to be sure I hadn't misunderstood. It's a very catchy tune and would no doubt be repeated by one of my children if we looked the other way. It's very sad - the rating should have been clear about all language used in the film - not just words spoken by the actors.

Great family movie. There are not a lot of movies like that any longer, which is sad.
