This volume begins with an excellent introduction to the book of Genesis followed by a verse-by-verse explanation of chapters 1 through 11. I found this book to be very easy to read. The author incorporates customs of the early Jewish people which greatly enhances the meaning of the text. An exellent addition to the library of anyone interested in studying this fascinating book of the Bible.

Very good. Well written. In depth for those who desire the exegesis and still very readable to the layperson.
