Big Idea Save the Planets! 3-2-1 Penguins! #7, DVD

Zidgel, Midgel, Fidgel and Kevin come to the rescue in Save the Planets! The beloved flock of flightless birds, along with the children Jason and Michelle, have one out-of-this-world adventure after another as they travel the galaxy responding to distress calls and learning life lessons and values along the way. Based on the Saturday morning cartoon series, this one DVD has three exiting episodes each with a faith-based message, including contentment, sharing and moderation.

In "The Green-Eyed Monster," green-eyed monsters appear and start eating everything in sight when jealousy arises between two groups of sheep. Can the Penguins restore peace before the planet completely disappears in a monster lunch-munch? Then in "More is More," the citizens of Gutt are addicted to sugar frosted cereal, and their insatiable appetites are threatening to throw the planet off course! Can these over-indulgers learn that moderation is the key to restoring a healthy orbit? In "Give and Let Give," a planet populated by a feisty bunch of garden gnomes and pink flamingos argue over water rights during a draught. Will these feuding lawn ornaments learn to share so everyone has enough to drink? Running time: Approximately 66 minutes. Recommended for ages 5 and up.

My kids love 3-2-1 Penguins (and else everything VeggieTales makes) this one didn't disappoint - it was packed with adventure and fun and full of Christian references. Great alternative to all the cartoon junk that they are bombarding our kids out there.

We bought this for our 4 yr. old who has each of the others in the series and was excited to have a new one. We were disappointed to say the least. It isn't remotely Christian, mostly promoting morals, but not citing the Bible or even "the Good Book" as before. Now there are Scriptures coming from fortune cookies. Bizzarre! We actually ended up throwing away our copy. My son is too young to understand that "The Green-Eyed Monster" comes from envy and doesn't just appear out of nowhere. And even with the recommendation of ages 5 and up, it is going to take some explaining to figure out the monster thing. Let's get back to the Bible as the source of authority and morals. Not fortune cookies.
