I was looking more for something I could do each evening with the family. This is just a weekly family night. The family night suggestions are fun and meaningful but I was wanting more.

I skim read the book and was not willing to send it to relatives for Christmas. I felt it was outdated and would not be used by them.

This was the perfect Advent resource for me! My family had never addressed the importance of the Advent period before, and I was looking for guidance as to ways I could incorporate meaningful activities into our family life. This book utilizes a "Family Night" format, featuring suggested scripture passages, prayers, activities, "entertainment", and even snacks. Most activities are very simple to do, using materials already on hand. I love that there is flexibility within the choices and that it includes "12th Night" after Christmas. Just a really great resource for very little money!

If your wanting to start a new tradition and have not done Advent,this is the book for you.My family and I have been doing advent for many years so I already had the great suggestions and ideas in the book.
