Read this book at the request of two sisters who had read it before me. One lives in the DC area. We have never attended the author's church mentioned in the book.
Describes stories from the bible, like Joshua from the book of Joshua; others; applies them to true life stories the author went thru, how God worked out financial and other difficulties in his and his family's life. Good book for Father's Day tomarrow. Read the book thru a local library here in Maine, was VERY POPULAR & is in demand thru the library system.
Have been to DC and the book, best I can tell; also WOULD NOT OFFEND anyone from DC; really is written TO ENCOURAGE people; has no racial or crime or other issues that would make it offensive to anyone; seeks to build peoples' lives. :) Decide for yourself!
