Wherever people are gathered, the possibility of hurting each other looms large. Somehow I had hoped that churches would be asylums where human beings uplifted and never hurt each other, by omission or by commission. Because churches are populated by regular human beings, like you and me, people do get hurt and so does God; finding their way back can be difficult and lonely. This book offers empathy, written by authors who are people themselves, hurt by people in their church. It also offers insights and strategies, couched in the context of God's Word. What a relief! What a blessing!
