A friend loaned this to me. All I can say is, thank God it was free! I wouldn't spend a dime on it!
First, her characters are two-dimensional sterotypes. Her male characters fit into three categories: the religious legalist (who is secretly sex-crazed), the reformed bad boy who obsesses about how unworthy he is of a saintly woman's love (gag!), and what dime novel would be complete without the token, predatory hit man? Her female characters are even more pigeon-holed: you have the dirty tramp and the pure, saintly victim who's so angelic I'm surprised her feet touch the ground.
But without a doubt. the most disturbing element was her ignorant treatment of the subject of rape. The saintly heroine spends one night struggling in prayer to forgive her attacker, and the next morning - viola! - she's glowing with peace and tranquility, as if nothing had ever happened.
This is incredibly insulting to any woman who has ever been raped or abused, and struggles daily to heal from the emotional scars. This author has obviously never been raped or known anyone who has been. Or if she does, it appears she judges them for not having enough faith if they aren't healed after a 24-hour prayer vigil.
The "mystery" element is also pretty transparent. You'd have to be pretty dense not to figure out who the "mystery heiress" is and where this book is going within two pages of this story angle being introduced.
The author writes in the fashion of someone who has little to no real world experience with her subject matter and has read one too many novels, and her style does little to make up for these deficiencies.
The short version? Save your money, and definitely warn off anyone you know who has ever been raped or victimized. They don't need the "just pray, forgive and have faith and you'll be 100% healed in the morning" pile-on.

Ewww this book really disturbed me. I actually felt slimed afterwards. I have been a Christian all my life, and as Christian books go, I would not recommend it. If I had to describe this book in two words I would pick nave, and unrealistic. The characters in her book are totally unrealistic, her background research is shoddy (if present at all), and the detective side of the story is downright pathetic. I kept reading, sometimes skimming, hoping the story would somehow improve, but it never did. I understand the message she was trying to convey, but any Christian with even a little bit of Bible knowledge and life experience, can see how flawed it is. The resolution to her message and story is like a big anti climax. It will likely leave most readers thinking that they have wasted their time. It was certainly a waste of time for me.
This is a romance story of intrigue and mystery in which two private investigators are given an assignment by a billionaire to find his unknown granddaughter. For a first time author, Mrs. Stone offers a complex plot with believable characters which has a spiritually strong message. Her plot compelled me to want to return to reading as quickly as possible. She came through with some interesting plot complications and twists and turns. I love twists and turns. And they included true to life experiences that involved sexual innuendo, rape and violence. But it was handled sensitively. Look for the Gomer/Hosea subplot. Unfortunately, Mrs. Stone's inexperience came through at times. For instance, she has a teenager jump into the back seat of a Corvette. A Corvette doesn't have a back seat. She also has every important character become Christians in the end, (except the bad guys), even several who are Jewish. The two main male characters who are private investigators have no trouble hacking into any computer system to find any information they need, along with breaking into any room with their handy lock pick. (Most hotel rooms these days have card keys). I doubt that authentic private investigators use illegal means to do their work. For an inexperienced novelist, it's an easy way to advance the plot. A more difficult way that would have proven her cleverness as a novelist would have been how the detectives find out facts in other creative ways, without breaking the law. Would I still recommend Love That Is Blind? Yes. It's a fun, compelling read and the Christian message is communicated in an inviting way. According to Ayrian Stone's bio, she is a missionary along with her husband in China. A homeschooling mom, she must truly have a passion for writing to be able to write a 377 page novel and I commend her for it. I trust that her passion will keep her writing and I look forward to her future novels. She has a lot to offer, especially as she matures as a writer.

I read the book in one day!! It was so good I was not able to put it down. I can't wait for Aryian to get her next book published.
Seldom do novels hook me on the first page and leave me gasping at the end, but Ayrian Stones "Love That Is Blind" did exactly that. With skillful prose, flesh-and-blood characters and vivid imagery, Ms. Stone enthralls readers with not just one pulse-pounding love story in this beautifully written tale about a gentle blind girl, but two that will have romance lovers turning pages far, far into the night.Passion simmers beneath pages filled with intrigue, mystery and surprise as the author artfully weaves romantic passion with passion for God in a manner that is rare and powerful in todays Christian market. I applaud Ms. Stone for this bold and beautiful book that transports readers from Love That Is Blind, to love that is not only wonderful but truly visionary in its spiritual scope.

Warning: "R" rated, sexual encounters throughout, some vivid.Having said that, the book is fast-paced & full of drama, suspense, intrigue, action, romance, interspersed with Gospel truth. There are powerful portrayals of pure love that provide insights into the hearts of us all. Couldn't put it down.

Love that is Blind was a fun read; its a great story that is full of complex characters. It also has an incredible message that is personally impacting and full of depth. Sometimes I think that in this genre, it can feel like a book was written and then a somewhat shallow inspirational message was added in as an afterthought without any connection to the story. However, in Love that is Blind, I didnt feel that way at all. The message was powerful, real, and not only woven throughout the story, but vital to it. Definitely worth reading, and youll get through all 377 pages quickly because it is hard to put down!
