I read every book I can that Dr. Crabb wrote. I loved this one. Made so many things clearer to me. I will keep it by my bedside to constantly reread it. This one really will change your life. If you don't read anything else besides the Bible this year, read this book! SLOWLY!

Larry Crabb's book is a life-changing book. It is one of my all-time favorites--even though it challenges me to face my sinful strategies and draw closer to God in holiness. Every Christian should read this--the Body of Christ would be more whole if they did.

If you truly desire a real, true, hopeful, peaceful relationship with God, our Father, this book will help you to begin. Be prepared to discover some things about yourself that aren't pretty! This is not for the faint at heart. This is for those who want intimacy with God the way He intended.

We have allowed ourselves to become more important than God. Feeling better has become more important than finding God. Whenever we pursue God it is usually for selfish reasons to make our lives more comfortable. He shared his interpretation of Hebrews 11:6 and how to apply it to our lives towards seeking God. Finding God does not eliminate our problems but brings peace. favorite chapter was with the floor analogy.
