My husband and I loved the book so much, we have started a small local bible study grp within our church. We have found that many Christians struggle in the areas Dr. Stanley writes about. He has really given insightful and inspirational message for each topic. It is best to pray and journal through this book so you can really seek the Lord's help in every area. This book helped us bring to surface the areas of concern the Lord had and it will help you too.

Anything written by Charles Stanley is going to be good. Have listen to Charles for many years on radio and on TV. I use some of his ideas for our Church Bible Study.

The Source of My Strength by Dr. Stanley is truly encouraging to those who are experiencing emotional pain. In each chapter, he shows how to overcome intense emotional pain with God’s help. Throughout this book, he shares his own experiences with pain. I highly recommend Dr. Stanley and any of his writings. He has much wisdom to share!

I bought this one together with How To Handle Adversity and they're an outstanding pair of excellent encouragement for daily victory...I read a LOT and few reach Dr.Stanley's real essence!!! What I'm trying to say is there are many books out there making many words without very much substance in them; not this pair: they are full of tried and proven advise from someone who has walked the talk...also I'm very glad @ the handy little format...perfect light weight companion for your handbag ....

Dr. Stanley has been through very trying and painful times in his life, like so many of us. God is using his experiences to speak to others like myself. My heart was lifted and my soul encouraged after reading this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who is searching for strength and comfort to deal with life's struggles and heartaches.

I owned this book several years ago, in hardback. Then I 'cleaned out' my library, and this book disappeared. I recently bought it in paperback. This is one of my favorite books by Dr. Stanley. If you suffered or know someone who is suffering emotional pain, please buy this book, and dogear and underline it. I have been comforted by the chapters in this book.
