I purchased three of these for my granddaughters who are 5, 6 and 7. They are wonderful! It's a great way for them to learn and of course, the Tiara on the cover and pink were a hit!

I hesitate to give this book a negative review, because I read dozens of positive ones when I was considering this purchase. My 5-year old daughter loves the glittery, bejeweled cover and the quaint drawings scattered throughout the book. I like the balance of Scripture story, discussion, and questions or activities. What could be improved upon, however, is the connection between the Bible story and the point of the lesson. The story is quite a short excerpt, so I usually add background and details so that it makes better sense. The discussion that follows is also brief, which I understand because of the target age, but the story isn't always tied directly in to the lesson. Most mornings, I find myself improvising a "paragraph" into the lesson which begins, "In today's story, this can be seen in the way..." Overall, this is a nice book for a young girl, but I wish these connections had been made to make the lessons more accessible.

I really enjoyed this little book. I was expecting it to be something that I would more keep for my young (2 year old) daughter, but found that there was enough in it that my 9 year old daughter enjoyed reading it along with me. I felt that I was able to use many of the stories as a starting point to deeper issues with my older daughter.
I loved the truths that were taught in the book. Showing what a real princess should be like, putting others first and filled with the love of God. This is a book that I know that I will enjoy reading to my little girl again and again. This is a book that can be read often as the truths of the bible never get old. They can also never be reinforced enough.
The last thing that I really liked about the book was the colorful pictures. The pictures allow the book to be enhanced without being overpowering. And of course there is plenty of pink for the little princess.
I did receive this book through Thomas Nelson free. I was not paid to give a positive account, I really did enjoy this book.

I'm obsessed with this bible. I think it is perfect for little girls. I purchased them as a party favor gift for my son's baptism for the little girls at the party. My daughter has one too. The pages are pretty, font is bigger, and the words are exactly what I would want my daughter to hear and learn from.

This is a wonderful Bible for little girls. I would say it is perfect for ages 4 to about 10. This is a devotional Bible and as such it has a page of Bible versus and then a few pages of about what it means and applying it to a little girls life. Lots is left out (like as in whole chapters!) but it hits the highlights. My daughter loves this hard back devotional. She sleeps with it under pillow every night since we got it and considering the love it has gotten, it is in very good shape. The has me read it to her often (she is 4 so reading isn't something she can do yet). I think the layout is visually appealing and the colors are pretty (my daughter is VERY into pink... and there are plenty of pink pages!). They use lots of different fonts throughout the book which makes me think it might be hard for my daughter read when first learning but should be a short term problem.I received this book for free via Thomas Nelson, so I could give a 100% truthful account of what I thought of this book. They are my thoughts and not that of Thomas Nelson or the author (well, at least they aren't to MY knowledge!). You can join too and review books!

My 5 year old daughter was so excited when this book arrived at our house - her very own devotional Bible. When she saw the cover with a crown and jewels she felt like God's little princess before we even began to read it. This book has become a special time that both my daughter and I look forward to together. The devotional Bible stories have a variety of features that really engage my daughter. Her favorites are:*Take a Bow (role-playing a Bible story)- she and her older sister quickly practice the skit and then role play the story for our family.*Bible Secrets and Tips - helps her to feel beautiful on the inside and out.*Bible Princesses - women of the Bible.*Activities & Songs - these reinforce the teaching from the story. I knew all the songs, but it might be nice to include musical notation for those possibly unfamiliar with a song. She is at just the right age (4-10 year olds) to make the Bible stories her own. As we are reading this book, she feels dearly loved as God's princess and is learning what it means to be His daughter and beautiful in His eyes.I am planning on sharing this book with my nieces and would recommend this to others with young girls.

This devotional is just adorable! I will be reading this over and over to my grand daughter! I would have loved to have had a book like this when I was a young girl. To read and to hear the words about how the Lord loves me, how HE cherishes me, who I am in HIM and to share other stories devoted to just that is worth so very much. Knowing that I can read these devotions with my grandaughter and other little girls who might come over just brings me so much joy. Sharing Gods word is something Shelia Walsh does so very well and this cute book is no exception! I highly recommend this book for mothers, aunts, grandmothers, mothers to be or nannies, or daycare providers! Everyone will enjoy sharing this book!

Wow! Gods Little Princess Devotional Bible is so much more than you would expect! The Bible stories are written with a little girls ears and eyes in mind. It includes simple yet thought provoking devotional messages and questions along with fun activities such as Bible story dramas to act out with mom or a friend, tips on developing manners and inner beauty, while also promoting God as every little girls hero! For example, after the story of the woman pouring perfume on Jesus head, it ties in 2 Corinthians 2:14 and gives a beauty tip that says, Each time you smell your moms perfumeask God to make your life a sweet-smelling scent to him. There are over eighty lessons that teach Royal Truths of the Bible, and the illustrations include Sheila Walshs Gigi from her series of childrens picture books. How I wish I still had a little girl between the ages of 4 to 7 at home to share this with; Ill just have to save it for a future granddaughter! In the mean time, it offers great lessons and ideas that can be used for Sunday school classes, childrens church, and more! All Bible text selections and memory verses are taken from the International Childrens Bible.

Gods Little Princess Devotional Bible is perfect for any little princesses out there. The author, Sheila Walsh, does a fabulous job making this bible appealing for young girls. You may know her from her series, Gigi, God's Little Princess. First off, the crown and jewel on the cover caught my daughter's attention and she let out a four year old squeal that this was her very own princess bible! The pages are attractive with with small pictures and of course the color pink is splashed about. There are great features through the bible including: Beauty Secrets, Bible Princesses, My Hero (Scripture promises), Take a Bow (Easy plays that are Bible-focused), I Adore You (songs, scripture and worship), and Royal Truths. I would recommend this book for girls ages 4-10. I think it would be perfect for a 7 year old though. What a great Valentine's gift for all of those little Christian Princesses out there!

Gods Little Princess Devotional Bible is a devotional Bible written by Sheila Walsh. Walsh is the author of the Gigi, Gods Little Princess book series. What little girl doesnt dream of being a princess? Walsh points little princesses to their father the King of kings using princess like metaphors and language through the devotional Bible. My little princess was immediately drawn to this devotional Bible that is adorned with jewels and sparkles. This devotional Bible has special princess features that draw little princesses to God. Including, Down in my Heart, which is scripture memory. Beauty Secrets on not only how to look beautiful but how to be beautiful. The Bible Princess section features girls and women of the Bible that made a difference. My Hero features scripture promises from God, our ultimate hero. Take a Bow gives tips on how to make costumes and put on plays that are Bible focused. I Adore You features songs, scripture and ways to worship and praise God. Princess Charming teach manners, poise and charm. Worthy of Love shows ways to love your family, friends and those around you. Royal Truths teach basic values straight from the Bible. The devotional Bible also features Role Review, which provides more in depth questions that your little princess can answer after reading the Bible stories. The Gods Little Princess Devotional Bible is perfect for every little princess and will point her to the type of princess God desires her to be. The wording and features are geared towards young girls yet provide direction to even us mothers as we read through the beauty tips and ways to praise God. Your little princess will certainly treasure this devotional Bible.

God's Little Princess Devotional Bible by Sheila Walsh is a great resource for parents to share with their princesses. Sheila Walsh created GiGi, the princess of the Greatest King. Many little girls, including my own, have grown to love her. She is the Christian version of Fancy Nancy - reinforcing the promises from the Bible of who we are in Him.What a wonderful devotional for little girls! This book has 84 sections that are each color coded as the lessons change. Short enough for the younger princess but packed with a lot of activities such as Bible focused plays to act out for the older princess. Each section opens with a story from the bible and supporting activities on the next few pages to reinforce the lesson. This book is suggested for ages 4-7 though I think even an 8 or 9 year old could have a lot of fun and even help mentor a younger sibling using this as a guide. I can just see a room full of girls giggling and playing, hiding the promises of God in their hearts, learning the truth in a fun interactive way.If you have a little girl in your life this is a must have for their library!

God's Little Princess Devotional Bible , as it is called by author Sheila Walsh, is written specifically for girls between the ages of four and seven. The book includes easy to read scripture selections which are taken from the International Childrens Bible. Passages of scripture are intertwined with fun features to grab their attention and to speak to a child's heart. In our home we already had several Bibles for little boys, but this is the first we've seen specifically intended for young girls. I was anxious to take a look as we are currently doing our best to raise a confident and Godly little lady (who is so close to being 4)! With it sparkly, inset jeweled, cover it was difficult for Anne Hope to resist opening the book immediately. The inside proved to also be adorable with its' age appropriate graphics and pages designed in shades of pink and purple. Personally, although this book is called a Bible, I would consider it more specifically a devotional. The individual lessons are organized in order of the books of the bible from which they come. However, as we teach our children that all scripture is God breathed and useful, one must admit that this collection brings in a lot of outside information and perspective that is useful, but not original to biblical text. The extras could be considered similar to the study notes in a Bible.

I just have to say, WOW. My daughter (Abigael age 7) and I love this book! First of all it's ADORABLE! There are gemstones set inside the tiara on the front cover and this sent my frilly frills daughter over the edge. She is a girls girl and all things shiny impress her! Also, some of the pink writing on front is glittery and this adds to the 'princessness' of the book. Then, you open the book and there is so much color and fun printed paper that it's just all out eye candy for a little girl like mine. The book itself is broken down into short bible stories that teach daily life lessons on a 4-7 yr old's level. After each story there are nine different features.Down in my HeartBeauty SecretsBible PrincessesMy HeroTake a BowI Adore You!Princess CharmingWorthy of LoveRoyal TruthsEach of these are different exercises or examples of how to be God's little Princess. They teach memory verses, how to be beautiful in the inside, women of the Bible, God's promises, songs for worship and praise, manners poise and charm, how to love your friends and family, and basic values from the Bible.Abigael and I especially enjoyed the "Take a Bow" section in which you play out a little scene from the Bible Story you have read. I think if you are looking for some purposeful bonding with your little princess, whether you are mom or dad, this book is perfect for that.God's Little Princess Devotional Bible is a fabulous way to instill good Bible based morals into your child from an early age, in a way that appeals to them. Try this book out and you will not be disappointed! Sheila Walsh has done an excellent job of using examples that a child can relate to, an argument with a sibling, feeling left out in a group of friends, getting a bad grade, etc. These things may not seem like a big deal when we look at them from our big grown up world, but this books takes those examples and turns them into a teachable opportunity.
