This book was provided to me by BookLook Bloggers, in exchange for an honest review. I must admit I sort of picked this book quickly, not overly excited about it BUT I loved it. What an inspiring read it was. The opening by Francis Chan gave me a picture of who Shelene Bryan WAS, and then to sit back and read how God touched her heart was awesome. She has become a woman inspired to help those who have needs all over the world and in her own back yard.

The title, Love, Skip, Jump- will come to stick in your head with meaning. Skipping, is basically Shelene's word for giving. Skipping involves passing up something you would normally have or do, and in turn giving that thing or money or time to someone else. It is a very realisitc way of giving out of our abundance. Jumping, touches on the ideas of just getting in there and stepping out to touch a life somehow. This phrase will be sticking with me for a long time. Early in the book she points out the verse we all know- JOhn 3:16. She helped me to notice that right after God 'LOVED' the world, He GAVE something. Giving always follows love. Beautiful.

This book also reminded me that we live in a continent of abundance. We have so much more than we need. And that is not always a blessing. So many of Shelene's inspiring stories reminded me that I need to continually focus my choices on the 'First Bank of Heaven'.

The stories and the style of writing are an honest, humble glimpse into a life that once was self absorbed. But now is a truly meaningful life of looking for ways to Love, Skip, Jump. I highly recommend

This was a wonderful read for me. Shelene talks about how a seemingly ordinary moment and question changed her life. She talks about how big a difference a little money was able to make in the life of a poor child in Africa. She tells about how her life was changed by the experiences that she had in areas outside of her comfort zone.

Shelene shows us how love changes our life. When we love, we want to give. We cannot love without giving. Sometimes we need to forego something (skip it) in order to have the resources to avail something for someone in need. Sometimes we need to jump and take a big risk, do something we've never done before, or something out of our comfort zone, in order to be and provide a miracle for someone else.

Sometimes, we need to say yes to a call that's truly out of line with our preferences, regardless of how hard it is, trusting that God will be with us and that He will make all things well. And as we do that, we enjoy His joy and provision.

I am applying what I learnt from this book this past weekend, as my life is going through a transition of sorts. God bless Shelene for writing this wonderful book!

Buy this book. Read this book. Then, give this book to someone else and plead with them to read it. This book is for you and this book was absolutely written for me. If I could give it ten stars, I would in a heart beat.

Shelene Bryan is the founder and executive director of Skip1.org. Love Skip Jump is the story of how Skip1.org was founded. More than that, it is the story of how one woman's yes radically altered the lives of so many. Shelene's actions changed her own life and caused an unknown amount of ripples throughout the world.

I could not put this book down. I feel like my words may fail to convince anyone they should read this book. I wish I could adequately express how much I enjoyed reading Shelene Bryan's story. Never before have I read a book that so exemplifies faith in action. I was so moved, so inspired by this true story of God using everyday encounters and divine appointments to accomplish his will. Finishing this book will leave you wanting to love more, skip a few things, and jump into the adventure God has for you.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book by its publisher and BookLookBloggers in exchange for an honest review. I have not been compensated and all opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved and I mean absolutely LOVED this novel! Reading about Shelene's adventure of saying yes to God inspired me immensely since I have heard God asking me for a while now if I say yes to Him!

What inspired me so much is that she shares how's she not perfect. She talks about her upsets, judgements, and sometimes even doubt. She doesn't sugar coat her story in making it seem like she's perfect. She's just a woman who had God change her life and is on a constant adventure of saying yes to Him!

Shelene really proves her point in that when we do say yes to God and decide to jump that were not the only one affected by this decision. Countless people can be affected eternally by one decision to jump for Jesus!

I am extremely thankful that I picked up this novel because it will definitely inspire you personally to step out for Jesus! Like Shelene shares that it won't be easy, but there is a joy and contentment in knowing we obeyed our Savior!

I give Love, Skip, Jump by Shelene Bryan a 5 out of 5 stars!

Love, Skip, Jump by Shelene Bryan is, in one word, fantastic. I had no expectations of this book and I can actually say that I was happily surprised by the content and the message of this book. Simply put, say yes. This book shows that if we love God we will find the true reason to helping others. When we say yes to situations and people that we find the true meaning of life. We must embrace than we can enjoy all the beauty of His will and love for us. Just reading all the examples and psalms made me really see that I must begin to say yes and help those I would normally never give a second look. Life is filled with so many connections that will be full of unlimited inspirations. I was given a review copy and all opinions are my own.
