We are using this book in conjunction with homeschooling our children - our preschooler and 3rd grader like to have me give clues as to what we may be learning about and then try to guess it correctly (we've gotten through a few animals, but I noticed the next devo is about the oceans, so not every devo is a specific animal). This devotional could lead off in so many directions as a lot of information is packed into very concise (perfect for preschool!) lessons, you could springboard off the devo for the day and go into doing full lapbooks or other further research activities (with older children) if desired and time permits.

Short devotionals with fascinating, amazing (and sometimes humorous) details about animals (as well as nature) that are perfect for the dinner table with kids 10 and under. I've got three boys and it's kept their attention well and my wife and I enjoy it too.
