"These dear little ones know nothing about our great need," wrote George Mueller in his journal. "They do not know if we have much money in the bank or nothing at all. They always have good nourishing food and the clothes that they need."
For about seven years the little children ate their meals one prayer at a time. Never, never, did any of the orphan children go without a meal. This biography for young readers explores the life of one of the most remarkable men of faith and prayer known outside of the Bible. But Mr. Mueller would want neither praise nor attention. He would want tall the glory to be given to God. Recommended for ages 7 to 9.

Initially, I was disappointed because I thought the book was an "adult-level" book; once I started reading it, however, I found it simple, yet well written and a concise summary of his life and work. I enjoyed its simplicity. I would highly recommend this for junior/senior high students or as a great family-read book for younger children.

I bought this for my 2 girls & they enjoy the story. I read it too & have learnt much from it! This is a story on faith in our living God. It's a testimony of the Heavenly Father's hearing the prayers of those who earnestly seek Him & who answers in miraculous ways. Wonderful story & lessons for young readers in the journey of their Christian faith.
