This book is a short, basic guide for pastors to do what God has called them to do. There is nothing earth-shattering here, but it's strength is that it is so general. Their advice generally fits most any setting. They hold high expectations for pastors while offering grace as well. It's the kind of book you can read several times or go over on a regular basis with other pastors for accountability. There are also some specific tips that are very practical, especially in the chapters about shepherding your people. I would especially recommend this book to young/new pastors and those who are looking for how to get out of a rut in their ministry.
