This is another great piano solo book from Mark Hayes. I've been playing piano 45 years and have my favorites, and he's one of them. This book says it's advanced but it seems a little less advanced than his other music; I was able to sightread through most of it pretty easily. But if you're used to his other "advanced" music it won't be too "intermediate" or easy for you. A good mix of fun and serious. Please carry more of his music and more piano solo music.

I am enjoying this book. It is easy enough to learn quickly, but not too simplistic. It is a great addition to the church pianist's collection or just personal enjoyment. I will recommend this to my piano students - and I bought one for me and for each of my children who play on this level.

Beginning with a soft, lush rendition of "The Sweet By and By" to the bombastic conclusion with "How Great Thou Art", this is one of Mark Hayes' best books for piano solos. "The Old Rugged Cross" is absolutely beautiful. Although I've never cared for the song "I'll Fly Away", Mark has made this into remarkable fun -- even if you don't like ragtime (and I don't), it sneaks up and makes you enjoy yourself in spite of everything! This book is not for beginners; it is fairly difficult. (I have to practice these before I perform!)
