kjpdrpOhioAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful!March 9, 2012kjpdrpOhioAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5After such great results with the Explode the Code series by the same author, we decided to try Spellwell. What a great product! We love that the lessons are short - maybe 5 to 10 minutes a day. The variation of activities keeps my daughter interested. I appreciate that the lists are not words randomly thrown in a group, but follow and reinforce phonics concepts. For example, this week we are studying words with the "oo" sound such as "tooth", "moon", and "boots". As a side note, my child loves the little graph in the back of the workbook you can use to chart your progress.

Star Learning5 Stars Out Of 5Spellwell Series is Wonderful spelling supportMarch 8, 2016Star LearningQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Spellwell series uses phonics to support learning English spelling rules/generalizations. The lessons reinforce the concept for the week and the "alternative homework," when listed at the bottom of the daily activity, helps extend the learning for the student who needs to stretch a bit.

HomeschoolMamaCanadaAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Fun spelling series!August 5, 2011HomeschoolMamaCanadaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I bought this and Spellwell A for my daughter who is in grade 3. Each lesson includes a pretest, posttest, and four fun daily activities. Each week's spelling list also leaves space to choose your own related "classroom words". The illustrations are line drawings that are fun to color in. Overall, it is simple, fun and easy to incorporate into our busy homeschooling routine. So far, Spellwell A has helped my daughter's spelling skills improve, and we are looking forward to continuing with Spellwell Aa and the rest of the series.

Nini5 Stars Out Of 5Great System!October 2, 2020NiniQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am using the SpellWell books while tutoring my dyslexic grandson with the Orton-Gillingham approach. The SpellWell lessons employ spelling patterns so students can learn to spell multiple words using a repeated pattern. It really helps in retaining information. The activities for reinforcement have good variety and employ higher thinking skills to keep students engaged. This system was also used in my previous school with great success.
